The artificial reservoir known as the Lake of Jazan Dam is located in Wadi Jizan about 16 km (9.9 miles) northeast of Abu Arish in Jizan province in southwestern Saudi Arabia. Built in 1970, a dam in the desert collects runoff and stores it for periodic discharge downstream. The reservoir has several purposes including irrigation and flood control. . On the shores of the lake there are several recreation areas and parks. One of them, Alsad Park, we were offered to visit. . .

Al-Dossaria Castle is located on the city of Jazan’s highest peak, overlooking the Red Sea. It was built in a square shape over an area of 900 square meters, and consists of two floors, four cylindrical towers and foundations that were recently reinforced. . . . The floors and towers have several openings that were used for military purposes, while the southern and western barricades were added to serve as the first line of defense for the main structure, which sits 250 meters above sea level. .

Tabuk Castle is an ancient castle in Tabuk, the capital city of the Tabuk Region in northwestern Saudi Arabia which dates back to 1559. Although it is believed that castle was built about 3500 BC and mentioned in the Quran as of Aṣḥāb al-Aykah ("Companions of the Wood") the known origin dates back to 1559. It was constructed to protect the water station as well as for security and surveillance purposes and was one of the stations on the Levant-Medina Haj road to welcome the pilgrims.

Located on the east side of AlUla, Jabal Ithlib is a natural mountain that once served as a place of worship for the Nabateans. Famous for its stunning temples and inscriptions, the mountain’s main attraction is the ‘Diwan’, which is a large room carved into the rocks and is believed to have been the venue for lavish banquets as well as a meeting room dedicated to the leaders of the city. Shafei Mosque is one of the oldest mosques remaining in the governorate of Jeddah, and it is located in Al-Mazloum neighborhood and is known as the Al-Ateeq Mosque.It is possible that the construction of the mosque dates back to the year 646 AH / 1251AD.
