Baham is a commune of Cameroon located in the West region , it is the capital of the Hauts-Plateaux department , in Bamileke country. In February 1957, the colonial authorities formally dismissed the traditional chief Pierre Kamdem Ninyim , imprisoned for three months for his sympathies for the nationalist party UPC .
